I feel like this question has probably been posted before but I couldn't seem to find anything when I searched. On my Honda CRV I can set the brake hold to come on any time when im stopped and I apply the brake but it seems my 2024 Tacoma I have to manually turn it on any time I want to use it. Is this by design or is there a way for it to come one similar to my Honda?

Thats' the way it works. If you want it, you have to turn it on. It turns off when you shut down.
