Did you try the standard booster test? Pump the brake pedal with the engine off, then keep pressure on the pedal while you start the engine. The pedal should then go down as vacuum from the engine reaches booster.

Yes sir and I got no travel at all. I just picked up the booster (Bumper to Bumper is the only one with a warehouse in town and they aren't open on weekends so just now getting one).

And the winner is: Brake Booster.

I've never seen one behave this way. I've always been able to overpower a failed/weak booster while still knowing it was the problem. But I've never had one fail in a Toyota before, so there's that.

Thank you everyone for your time and trouble. I really appreciate the feed-back. Thank you again!

What about weak brakes that can’t hold the truck still at a stop light? Especially with my AC on I almost have to stand on the pedal to keep it from rolling or lurching foreword when the ac comes on. Someone told me torque converter may be an issue once but figured you guys here may know

Ok I’ll look into testing it but I beleive I did years ago and couldn’t find a failure. Maybe I’ll just replace it.

    Yeah.
I posted a link earlier in this thread that has 3 different tests that don't require special equipment. Go through those before spending the money. Could be as simple as a vacuum leak.
