What size wrench did you use to break it off? lol

    If 10mm, it was M6x1
    If 12mm, it was M8x1.25

M7 will typically use an 11mm wrench if they stayed with a hex drive.

Good tip, don't know why I didn't think of that.

    12mm lol

The replacement rotors I got from Toyota do take the M7-1.0 size though, don't know what that's about.

Hmmm...that's very odd. I'm actually amazed you found that size bolt anywhere. Extremely uncommon.

My local Ace hardware has an extensive hardware selection.

I was surprised that they used different hardware than the originals considering they were genuine parts. If I bought them on Amazon or something i'd have been less surprised.

Anyway I kept the first bolts I bought figuring at some point when I'm replacing these I'll need them lol

Finally got to finish up on the brake job this morning.

For completeness of information on here I thought I'd post this follow up. After the disaster on the driver's side I got a can of PB blaster and soaked the bolts on the passenger side a few times over the weekend. They all came out with no drama, but that one on the brake line seems like it would have otherwise. It was still a bit tight, and left behind a few courses of threads in the hole. But it came out in one piece, and with most threads in tact. I ran a tap through it and anti seized it before reinstalling.

It is an M8-1.25 btw, I think we had already established that by the head size though.

Other stuff I would add. I didn't like the way the new pads felt going into the caliper, or the old ones coming out for that matter. Really tight, had to wiggle and pull on them with linesman pliers a lot.

I flat filed just a bit on the top and bottom of the caliper recess where they fit and lightly greased those edges of the pads. They fell into place with zero effort.

Additionally, I reused the cleaned up pins but felt they were tight also. So I replaced them with new ones, again they went right in with zero effort, and the pads move nice and freely.

I think those might be some common trouble spots for these brakes. So if you have uneven pad wear or warped rotors, or are replacing pads and rotors I recommend not missing those steps.

Thank you everyone for commenting and helping!
