So I've got a 07 4wd access cab and I've been struggling with a brake light issues for several years now. Had the truck to the dealer several times and to a local mechanic with no solution.
I'm the original owner and never had any serious issues.
Problem- when I press the brake the 10amp fuse blows under the hood. Sometimes it will work for several weeks and other times it will blow every time I push the brake.
Brake pedal switch has been replace and I've also disconnected the trailer light harness... nothing seems to help and I haven't found a common occurance when it happens.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
Next step might be a match....! Ha!!

It sounds like you have a short. There's probably a wire that moves around, causing the intermittent nature of the problem. Best of luck - it could be a real PITA to locate.

    Kinda what I was thinking...
Seems like the longer I leave a fuse out the longer it will work when I install a new fuse.
    Thank you the reply!
