So I have a pesky brake light on my dash.

YES, THE HANDLE IS PUSHED ALL THE WAY IN.

It goes off sometimes on left turns and hard braking. Pads and shoes are good, and it has a new master cylinder along with fresh fluid.

What do I need to look for?

Fill the master to the max line.

BTW, your profile says 4x4. You posted in the 5 lug forum. Just an observation.

Looking at where the sensor is on the reservoir I'd say Bill has the right solution. It's probably getting exposed when you turn left and brake hard. Just needs that little bit more fluid to keep it covered at all times.

The sensor is on the driver side of the reservoir. SO left turns moves the fluid AWAY from the sensor. And that's when the light goes off.

I'll top it off and see if the problem persists.

Sorry. Life exploded with sick parents and one in the hospital. I've not had a chance to get fluid to fill it. I should be able to tomorrow.

FIXED!! Filled that b1+€# up. Can't believe that even though it was in range it was still throwing a light.

    Thanks for the input Bill.
