Brake light problem

    05 Tacoma Dbl cab TRD
    No mods yet. My 4th Toyota, but my 1st TRD 2WD, all others have been lifted 4WD
    I found out yesterday that the brake lights are out on my 05 Tacoma. All of the other lights work on my truck, even the 3rd brake light up top, just no brake lights. I do have a brake controller installed for my trailer, but it has been installed for over a year and my lights were all working fine then.
    I checked the fuse under the hood and it was not blown. Anyone had this problem before? Ideas on the cause? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
