Brake lights/Cruise control

    Just wondered if the brake lights activate when you toggle down on the cruise control lever (to slow down) with the cruise on?

    No, because all the "decelerate" does is allow the engine to let off the throttle to bring your speed down.

    If you bump the brake pedal to "coast" then the brake lights will activate when you push the brake pedal.

    Cruise and Hydraulic brakes aren't the same system.
