brake lights on constant when Truck is running

    So the brake lights (all three) are on when the ignition is in the run position, no pressure on pedal, they stay on as if pedal was depressed, when you turn the ignition off the lights go out, press the pedal with ignition off brake lights come on as they should be. Any ideas how the lights are getting power through the ignition? Is this a defective brake light switch?
