I changed my brake pads myself and was pretty easy. But I'm going nuts now. The truck breaks fine, but every time I first get in the truck and start going reverse it makes the most annoying scratching noise . Only in reverse. After the first initial breaks it goes away , but it's Everytime!! Please help .

Sure it's not the rear brake? Check them. Also might have brake dust on pads. The sliders upfront might be sticking. Should use some sort of brake lube on the sliders.

The slides your referring too is the metal bracket that holds the pads inside the caliper? And can I lube them without removing everything?

Brake indicators not bent back enough? You know, those metal tabs that are used to show your low on pad

It's not a bracket. The sliders are round. I'll see if I can get a picture.

They will be something l like #88. If there is any build up (rust) it need's to be cleaned off. Then lubed then slid back in. Screenshot_2017-07-15-08-29-06.jpg

Make sure to add lube to the pins.
And see the anti rattle shim. That MUST have lube on those l. On the back of shim. The part facing u. Also MUST have the anti rattle spring in place. Screenshot_2017-07-15-08-40-00.jpg

Be sure those anti-rattle springs are in properly.

Did you lube the slide pins and the back of the pads? Check the squealers and also the spring that goes between the calipers. You may have put it in upside down and it's hitting the rotors and squealing in reverse.

Did you do a proper break in on the pads?
Did you change the rotors as well? Rotors/pads tend to form to each other after extended use. You'll feel a slight lip along the edge of the rotor. I'd bet since you've got brand new pads in there, for some reason in reverse they are probably rubbing the lip ever so slightly. Nature of the beast. Should spend the extra couple bucks and replace pads and rotors at the same time to maximise your brake performance.
