Brake Override Malfunction

I sure hope not. I'm just rocking a base model, but most of the tech in my truck feels 15 years old (it is), which I am ever more thankful for.

 

If only it was just a fuse problem. Will update tomorrow after dealership digonstic

 

I was just thinking that this was a long time coming. I just so happen to get it the same time. Maybe be a good think I was just working in my driveway. Which I literally had to start my truck to move it there minutes before the final install haha

U uninstall both tails. Reinstall the old ones?

 

Nope so it's sitting in my driveway for AAA to come tow it in the morning to Toyota.

 

Yup installed all OEM tails and bulbs in the back.

@ProjectTgen3 do you have any thing connected to the accelerator?

Mine gave me the BO malfunction light then I just let the truck sit for 15 minutes. It started and ran normally afterwards, but it still had a CEL set. That had to be reset by the dealer. They found nothing wrong.

So, if this happens outside warranty you have to pay for the reset. Or just download Tech Stream and do it yourself. Either way, it's a bad design.

 

Look at page 556 of your owners manual ( I'm using the one on my phone app)
It says to set the parking brake, shift to park, turn engine switch to accessory, press and hold the engine switch for about 15 seconds while depressing the brake pedal firmly.

 

And I wanted to daily the truck. Ended up modding it and now this....

 

It's been sitting now for a bit so I can try it again but not only the truck won't start but even when it's off the brake lights won't even light off OEM or not.

 

It'll rise again. I just hope it won't be a whole to do at the dealership.

 

How long did you have the battery disconnected?

 

Just got the truck last year and when I called to make the appointment they said it would be covered. Still have to wait and see though
