So I decided to upgrade my headlights to the morimoto headlights and during the install i didn’t install them correctly resulting in the headlights blowing multiple fuses. As well blowing other fuses in the process. I have now replaced all the fuses that have been blown under the hood and now it keeps showing up as “brake override malfunction” As well when i put it in gear it will not let me give it any throttle.

Did you check the fuse labeled “stop”?

I'm not very familiar with 3rd gen systems but the brake override system is there to cut the throttle if the brake and throttle are pressed at the same time, it would seem that the computer is seeing the brake applied when it shouldn't be.

Are the brake lights staying on?

The brake lights are not staying on and the fuse labeled “stop” is ok. Just so confused on how this happened.I am Worried that I shortened something out.

I wouldn't think messing with the headlights would have anything to do with it.
Are you sure when you were messing with fuses you didn't pull one out and forget to put it back in or put it back in the wrong spot?

Have you checked for codes in the PCM and ABS systems?

Update when i was fixing the fuses i misplaced a fuse into a dead fuse socket. I doubled checked it and realized my mistake. Truck runs back to how it was. Thank you guys for the help. The responses helped with me double checking.
