So I upgraded the brake system today with some nice OEM toyota cryo rotors and the red TRD performance brake pads. I took the shims off the pads and put some grease between the pad and shim. I also cleaned the pins that slide through the caliper and put a light coat of grease on those too. Should I have greased anything else?

Also, does it matter what side you install the pad with the wear indicator? I put mine on the inside.

Pad squealer is inside. On the left for drivers side and on the right passenger side. It's not critical, I wouldn't tear it apart if they are switched.

I use light grease between shims, and on the edges of the pads that ride against the calipers. Pins as well.

No grease on the outside of the shim that makes contact with the pistons correct? Leave that dry?

Do the Indicators go on the Trailing or the Leading Edge of the Pads?
I usually install them they way the old ones come off, but have seen the both ways.
    Or is it vehicle specific?

    Thanks
