Just took apart my front brakes and found that there are no shims installed. I picked up new set of OEM brake pads but they came with no shims as well. It is getting late and everything is closed, really wanted to get this done tonight, grrr. Should I replace pads and install without shims or should I wait and order those in before I install new set.

You won't hurt anything installing them without shims. The shims aid in brake squeak etc. I'n my own personal vehicles I take them out and just put some brake grease . Makes the brakes feel a little more firm. Do want you want but I have no problem without shims.

I've reused old ones before without any trouble and I've run nothing at all before too. They really are there only for squeal issues.
