    Hello,
I was wondering if anyone who has a first gen has bought a brake pedal lock to deter thieves? If so, which one? I want to buy one, but I'm unsure as to which one because I want one that fits. If it helps, I have a manual transmission in my first gen. Thank you!

A brake pedal lock won’t stop a determined thief. It’s all about making your truck as less desirable as possible to take. A club may not offer much protection, however it’s enough of a visual deterrent to make a potential theif move on to the next truck.

I installed a fuel pump kill switch so they can’t drive the truck. Doesn’t stop someone with a flatbed and a winch.

Thank you! I kind of just wanted the brake pedal lock in the mean time while I go to school. I do like the idea of the fuel pump kill switch, but I'm not entirely sure how I would route the wire or where I would hide it or how I would even do it. Do you have a tutorial as to how you did it?

I used an ECU Signal wire on the circuit opening relay circuit that controls power delivery to the fuel pump. When the low amperage signal of the ECU is cut, the truck won't start.
