Brakes needed replaced and then the caliper went out on me while replacing pads so i replaced both the caliper and bled thr brakes..
Now the pedal is really soft and squishy... takes white awhile to get stopped.
Anyone have any idea what's going on?
Things i need to check for trouble shooting?

Did you use a scanner to bleed the abs module?

Yep, that is my first thought as well.

OP, air in the abs module has to be bled by the dealer since they hook up their computers to it and cycle the abs module.

Any shop with a decent scanner can do it. I doubt you want to drop 5k or more on a scanner

It's not needed all the time, in fact most of the time it's not, but it can happen. Since you already bled and they're still squishy, then that's my best bet.

Maybe a stupid question but do I need to bleed the rear brakes also?
Any idea how much scanning the abs will cost?

It certainly won't hurt. Maybe do one more thorough bleeding, starting rear passenger, rear driver, front passenger, front driver. If you're still squishy then I'd say ABS time.

Cost varies per shop. If you can find an independent shop then go there since it'll likely be less expensive than a dealer. From what I've read on here that can be tricky though. I had a dealer tell a friend $300 to do the bleed, which is fucking absurd. I wouldn't pay more than $100-$150.

Just keep bleeding the brakes at all 4 corners. I had to do my first gen every night for a week before I got a super firm pedal. My truck has abs too, no issues there.

Before you spend the money at the dealer -
Get a vacuum pump loaner at most auto stores or buy one and with the key off (do NOT turn on - in fact keep it away from the ignition so no one turns it on) and vac bleed each brake caliper (and wheel cylinder if you need to do them) and then test the brakes. Make sure you keep and eye on the master cylinder so it has fluid in it and does not get sucked dry or you start again.
If this does not help take it to the dealer. My understanding is if no pressure is in the brake system when you are bleeding and you turn the key on the ABS will probably lock the system or half of it so dealer has to fix with scanner.

Re-bled the brakes again last night.. steady stream of fluid from all four corners..
Maybe its the brand of pad that I installed but the pedal just isnt firm like it was.
I may have to keep bleeding them for awhile like stated above to get a firm pedal.

Did they put grease on the wrong side of the brake pad? That would suck....

I had the exact same situation with mine and tried all the home style bleeding procedures I had to take it to the dealer for a pressure bleed on a BG machine cost $128 but now the pedal is acceptable, ive never figured out why this happened in the first place, you can search spongey pedal here and find a lot of people that had the same situation.
