brake problems

    Tundra calipers/rotors swap, some new pads and you will be good to go.

    Stay away from anything BUT solid steel rotors, especially if you wheel. Your lift combined with your larger tires and rims setup is overtaxing your stock brake setup which is the reason for terrible braking power. You may want to consider swapping out the fluid as well. Unless you have high mileage on the brake lines and they look like they are beginning to deteriorate and crack I would leave them.

    Started automatic. Swapped to manual
    Are you using aftermarket rotors? My tacoma hates anything but oem. Are your rear brakes working properly? Sounds like front brakes are doing all the work. I don't know if you have to but, I always clean film off with brake cleaner since I always have can available doing brake work.

    that seems like a lot of wear for brakes. i dont know if it is because i have a manual and that saves my brakes a lot.. i have only replaced my brakes twice since 2005..But i know your crazy canadian weather is a lot worse then i have it hear in so cal.. here is what i would do Tundra brake upgrade or go with smooth rotors do not get slotted that just lets dirt and debris get caught up in the holes and get EBC green stuff pads!:)

    Grey wire mod, eibach, 5100's & 5125's, ome Dakar leafs, 1.25 rear shackle, Gibson exhaust, ram air intake, throttle body spacer, boot slide mod, poly bushing kit, extended brake lines.
    Going to throw some new pads in for now..and track down some tundra calipers and rotors. When iv got a bit more cash.
