Believe it’s too late for that. He said he broke the bolts off trying it.

Being in New York, yeah.... you got rust issues. Its gonna take a lot of force and patience to get those rotors off.

I was thinking maybe an air chisel from behind. My friends father is a mechanic. I'll prob go to his shop tomorrow and see what he says. Right now the 2 force bolts are snapped off in the holes. The stripped so I had to break them to drive the truck. The rotor has a lot of hammer dents on it now but it's straight and true so I put it back together with the old pads and the stop and work well. No noise or anything

Were you trying to hit the rotor from the back side or the front side? Believe it or not, hitting it from the front actually works better even though it seems like you're trying to pound the rotor on. A 3 lb. sledge - swung mightily - is usually enough force. Trust me, I live in the rust belt and have had more than my share of stuck rotors. We apply high temperature Never Seize to the back side of the rotor hat / front side of the hub when we put the new rotors on to prevent this.

The air chisel might help. The vibrations more than anything will help the penetrant to work it's way in. Sorry your having such a hard time brother.

Yes hit both the front and the back of the rotor. I planned to apply grease so this wouldn't happen in the future.

Don’t do what I’m about ask,
But is there any way we can utilize the power steering to assist in breaking it free? Seriously, this only a question. NOT ADVICE.

Obviously, you need to have a general idea of “that’s too much”

    Again OP, don’t try it.
It’s guys like me that make a bad situation worse.

And before some ask, Where would you get an idea like that?

Yes, it’s been done. It works for Ram Hubs.

I see your kind of new here. Don't take offense to anything that's thrown out there in posts, it's nothing personal, and most likely ALL of us feel your pain and have been in similar situations.
And we are trying to help, but we also have fun around here.
    Welcome to Tacoma World.

If you've got a propane or map gas torch, a little heat goes a long way to help drawing your PB blaster in there. Just don't get it so hot you'd be burning rubber out of grease seals.

I live in southern California and if I had to hammer mine off with a brass hammer in a state of little rust..... I can only imagine how hard you will need to hit yours to get them to even budge, but one thing I am sure of.... is you have more time than money. Soak it, beat it, soak it beat it some more. It will come off.

Too bad you don’t live in Tennessee OP.
We got tractors and beer. That rotor wouldn’t stand a chance.

Seriously though, you need a BIG hammer, a Strong Arm and lots of time.

Never seize/anti seize would most likely hold up better.

I'll give it another try tomorrow. I did heat it up with the torch. By hitting the rotor with a sledge hammer is it possible to damage the wheel bearings or anything else in the front end?
