1997 t4r has super duty axles, 5.13s locked front and rear. 3 link front with 14" kings. Rear 63s.
4k on my truck when I bought it. (Demo model) next day it was back in for the drums to be turned. Im at 20k now and I have a pulse again. Push the emergency brake in and it will begin. Dealer drove it and said they cant get it to replicate the same issue. I told them I would bring them a video of them on the lathe at my uncles shop since they cant find a warped drum.

Once I need new rotors I'm going to give autozone duralast gold rotors a try. 3 year warranty and have a z clad coating so the wont rust but where the pad hits. Once its wore off you will get the surface rust as usual but the hub wont rust. Made of high carbon steel as well.

I need to replace my pads and rotors as well...i'll be going with OEM... no reason to go with anything else. The stopping power and longevity is there.

Contact Nathan at Dahl Toyota. He is very good with prices - for example, I got a set of pads for $45, shipped. Also 10 oil filters (including gaskets) for $40, shipped. Also spark plugs, etc...

Here is their ebay site - just contact him. Most of the stuff I get isn't listed on the ebay site, I just asked... Hope that helps.

My original rotors warped at 22K, pads look like new... Dealer fixed it for free after I ranted a little bit and caught them trying to say I needed new brake pads.

Alright here is the dumb question of the day. Who exactly makes the OEM rotors and pads? I have a 2011 2.7 4wd tacoma and I am not sure what the OEM parts were. I just had my inspection done at 67,000 miles and my brakes passed but the guy advised me to fix them before winter. I went ahead and got them fixed today new rotors and pads for 260.00. I thought this was expensive so I called the dealer and they wanted 400.00 so I went with that guy. He used model ZD976 for the pads Appear to be wagner ceramic. And for the rotors AX31327 that I apparently cant find a manufacturer for. Just wonder if I have really shitty brakes and rotors that I will be replacing in 20,000 miles or what.

I can't say much about the Wagner pads, I have never used them. I have heard that they are a quality pad. The brake rotors you listed are an Auto Xtra part number. They are sold by Parts Plus auto parts stores. We use them in the garage where I work. We never get complaints about them warping or any other problems. Also wanted to let you know that when you take a vehicle to a dealer for a brakejob, if they don't have the parts in stock you get pads and rotors from a local parts store.
