My 2013 ( July ) Tacoma, 6350 miles, been of the road since December through illness, was left with park brake off, when I drive it now I get a brake shudder through the steering wheel. Any ideas and would repair be under warranty or chargeable? thanks

With that few miles and not even a year old I would take it to your dealer.

If it's a bad shudder through the steering wheel probably a stuck caliper. Pump the brakes real hard and see if it unsticks. Mine did this once after wheelin. If it doesn't work head to the dealer

Just got my 2013 Tacoma TX Baja back from the dealer with new rotors and pads on the front. They have no idea why the rotors and pads failed at just 21,000 miles. I'm very light on the brakes and spend most of my time on freeways. I usually get 100k miles on brakes. The good new is the warranty covers the repair.

Just a bunch of old crap
Rotors on the 2nd gens warp very easily. I've been through 3 sets now.

Also a good alignment is key. Sitting since December may have caused minor flats in your tires as well, so that may take some driving time to break back in.

Every time I get the brake shudder, it's either warped rotors or my alignment isn't within spec.

Had it happen twice to me, but I'm lifted. Because my alignment was off, my vibes were enhanced during braking. Speaking from experience.

The truck in question is so new though. But, there are only a small handful of things that could cause the braking shudder.

My stock rotors warped with 25k miles. Then the Brembo blanks warped in 5k miles (could being made in Brazil be the problem?)

So I just changed my rotors again to Advics high carbon made in USA. Let's see how long they last. It's silly how my truck only has 35k miles and been through 3 sets of rotors.

Mine is doing the same thing at 6k miles....dealer has replaced all brake components and the shudder is still there. They have pretty much told me it is "normal" and won't do any more troubleshooting. Mine was bad enough the hood came unlatched from it once. I'm at a loss as to what to do next.
