Last month I had an issue where my rear brakes would lock up and I wouldn’t be able to move my truck. Toyota found that my passenger rear brakes were locking up and adjusted my brake shoe to drum clearance. Since then I’ve noticed a squeaking noise while reversing that goes away when I press on the brakes. It sounds like it’s metal on metal. This Toyota dealership has created a bad reputation for me, messing up my services, missing services, and “fixing” issues that pop up again. Any advice on how to get the squeak to stop?

Without seeing the inside of the rear brake drums I couldn’t provide comment...On the front discs the brake pads should slide freely on the caliper brackets with little resistance and the brake calipers themselves should slide freely on the pins. When these items get hung up it will cause squeaks and pad slap.

Maybe just need some cleaning and lubrication in the drum. I do it all the time. Not too difficult.
