Rick what rotors and pads did you go with? About time for some new brakes on my truck. Trying to figure out what I need to buy.

Nice! Why do you have two sets of rotors?

When I just bought them at Boch Toyota South and they ran my vin number they warned me that they were not listed to fit.
I ordered them anyways and the fit like a charm!

2 for the front, 2 for the back....

lol jk, they messed up my order, the cryos were ordered in july and never got shipped so it was refunded... but when I asked about the non cryo rotors shipping, they accidently shipped my old cancelled order and the new order. I will be sending those back in, for karma purposes. =)

I just went with the stock rotors and the TRD pads. It was my own fault, I waited too long ând needed the stuff ASAP because my pads were grinding so I couldn't wait on the rotors to come in. I only had to wait 1 day for the pads at the dealership. I will say the pads themselves are a nice upgrade, a lot more bite.

I have already upgraded my rotors and pads to ebc sport, but I just found out one of my calipers went bad. What replacement caliper would you all recommend? I’m changing my suspension to bilistine 6112s in front and 5800 in back with a new ome leaf pack, so I figured I might as well do the calipers at the same time. Would love to hear your thoughts. Is it best to stay with oem????
    Thanks in advance

Nothing wrong with the OEM Calipers, but there are some nice upgrades on Calipers on the first post.

Correct me if I’m wrong here, but there is no upgraded caliper suggested on the first Post. I only saw an up grade to a big brake system, which I understand would also entail changing my rotor size and possible my wheel (I run 3rd gen 16 off road wheels). Am I missing something? :notsure:

There are no stock sized calipers that are upgrades over OEM. The performance caliper upgrades are all for larger discs. PowerStop makes a ‘performance’ rebuilt caliper that is rebuilt with premium components and powder coated red, but performance-wise it is the same as stock. Avoid cheap aftermarket calipers for sure, look for a rebuilt OEM unit.

Ok Thanks! I grabbed a new oem set, just wasn’t sure what my other options were, one thing I don’t fuck around with is my brakes :burnrubber:
P.S. after reading this thread now also thinking of getting SS braided lines for the front. Thoughts?

It is a good upgrade to increase pedal feel and have a firmer more responsive pedal. I did them front and rear.
