brakes locking up

    11 prerunner sport
    after I Drive a couple of miles front brakes slowly start to engage and by the time I stop they are smoking hot. Does anyone have a solution?

    You didn't play with the front brakes did you?
    No flushes or mods.

    2 or 3 things it could be.
    Brake pedal rod throw out of adj. doubt it as you have miles on it
    Brake fluid contamination.
    Improper brake work.


    Get it to someone that knows what he's doing. Brakes are nothing to fool with.
    Don't drive it untill it's resolved as more damage can be done.

    Started automatic. Swapped to manual
    Yeah, better fix before you trash rotor. Sounds like caliper or broken spring or....

    LARGER WHEELS. DIFFERENT STEREO. PUSH BAR. TAILGATE EXTENDER. WIPER MOD. TPMS LIGHT DELETE MOD.
    Return pressure hole in the caliper? Expands with the heat because of drag and makes the pads engage. I'd dump out ALL of the fluid and do a total flush. Maybe rebuild or replace the rotors. I'm reminded of a story years ago when a friend put power steering fluid in his girlfriends car. It did the very same thing. Your vehicle shouldn't be old enough for the system to be full of rust and sediment. But it sounds like one of these two scenarios.
