Weird title I know, but here is my possible issue. It feels like I have to press the brakes really hard for the truck to stop and it is not smooth coming to a stop, it feels as if the ABS are kicking in like it will slow down, let up, slow down, let up etc. I do not get the shaky feeling of warped rotos.

This wouldn't be due to worn pads, what else could cause this issue? Thanks.

Thanks for your replies, I am pretty sure I am pressing the pad but I will check to make sure.

I will look into the hub bearings thing, I did a quick search and didn't see any 2nd gen topics on it.

Might want to bleed your brake lines. Only costs a few bucks and it's a simple procedure with a 2nd person.

It does sound like it could be bad bearings. While you're poking around under your truck you might as well manually adjust the drum brakes. Doesn't have to be done often, but worth it if you're already messing around with stuff. The auto adjusters don't do the greatest job.
