I'm curious to see if anyone else has had this problem. Sometimes when I get my heel a little too far foward the toe of my steel toe workboot gets wedged between a piece of plastic that sits above the brake pedal and the floor and I cant get full pressure on the brake pedal. I have to pull my foot back to free it and press the brake pedal again. The problem is that this could possibly happen during an emergency stop when I'm likely to put my heel up too far. I dont have big feet, my workboots are size 10. This is a bad design, never had this happen in another vehicle.

Move the seat back? Not sure what to tell you. I don't think it's the truck, it's your foot positioning or boot.

I wear work boots while driving my truck regularly. I have never encountered the issue you are describing.

I wear size 10 steel toe boots 90% of my driving and I have never noticed them getting stuck.

LMFAO!! I hope he only has 5 toes. I'm sure any more than 5 would be uncomfortable in a steel toe. lol

OP: Do you brake with your left foot? If so try using your right foot for gas & brake.

I am 6'2" and wear a size 15 shoe. Whenever driving my Tacoma while wearing steel-toe work boots I have never had an issue like what you describe. Personally I would suggest not jamming your foot up under the dash, this is a midsized pickup. One time at work something didnt go just right. I got pissed off, started swearing and threw the tool. A fellow worker calmly told me not to take it out on the tool, not its fault. He said I just needed to be smarter than it. If the issue persists, buy a Tundra.

OP - does your truck have any sort of add on box down there? Alarm, dealer add on, etc? Have seen lots of them on here and maybe it’s something you can move or remove.

I had this happen once on the way home from work..

But I had a nail stuck through the toe of my shoe which somehow missed my foot.
