Seems to be a common problem with the long beds lately... do they have a longer drive shaft by any chance?

You have driveline vibes too. The only question is whether or not you feel them in the cab.

No driveline is ever perfectly balanced. The problems come when it's so intense it's annoying or damaging to the vehicle. Generally speaking, increased vibration will result in u-joint, bearings, etc. wearing out sooner.

But machines are machines, and none of them are pefect. Trucks are RWD and have long drivelines, meaning engine power must be transmitted a long way through some less-than-ideal angles. This is why trucks aren't luxury cars, among other reasons.

My F350 Long Bed Crew Cab is 12 years older than my Tacoma, has over 140,000 more miles, the drive shaft is 3 feet longer, and it's never shook like the brand new Tacoma short bed I have.

Toyota's obvious lack of design competence or parts sourcing is the problem. Basically quality issues.

    Fixed for you.

You got a good F-350 and a bad Taco. Happens sometimes. My Taco never had a single driveline vibe until I lifted it. Then I fixed the takeoff shudder with a one-piece driveshaft. We can do isolated examples all day - they mean nothing.

Point is, TRUCKS will never ride like CARS. Maybe I should've just said that to begin with.

well when im paying 26,000 for a new truck and it shakes like hell and the fact my 2000 tundra doesnt shake, i would say that pisses me off. my tundra drives and rides smoother than most cars (reg/sport/luxury) that i have ridden in. you guys kill me when you say its a "truck not a car"! thats total bullshit. its a garbage ass truck with crappy ass engineers that designed it.

a truck should nice and smooth just as anything else especially when its $26,000+

My '12 v6 4x4ac did the same thing - vibe at 10-20 when making a slight turn. It smoothed out at about 1000 miles. Didn't seem like driveline vibration at all - I felt it in the wheel rather than the seat. It acted more like the PS pump wasn't pushing enough juice at low revs. OP: You might try a bit more throttle coming off the line to see if there is a difference.

Neither does mine..and neither did the 2011 Sport I traded for it. If they had, they would have been at the dealer until it was resolved.

Yep...2011 was an Sport Access Cab...we decided we needed interior room more than we needed the longer bed...plus I hated the scoop/skewp on the Sport.
