I had a vibration around 50 MPH. In my case the vibration disappeared when I replaced my stock Toyo tires with Michelin LTX Defenders.

Did your vibration start at a lower speed and build in intensity ?

    I would check this:

    Tire pressure
    Tire balance
    Wheel(s) out of round
    Front end alignment
    Loose frontend suspension parts
    Driveshaft out of balance

A good alignment shop (not a retail chain) has a tire & wheel balance machine and understands the frontend components. They can check all of the item above except the driveshaft.

    Good luck

Yes, I have a local shop which does a lot of suspension and alignment work for track work.

He drove it and took a quick peek underneath. Suspects it’s the driveshaft. It’s going on the alignment machine at the end of the week.

    Thanks

No, the vibration seemed noticeable around 45 to 55 MPH.

Hope you can get it fixed soon, hopefully it's just something minor. I just got mine, and although i haven't put many miles on it yet, it drives smooth without any vibrations that I have noticed in a mix of highway and city driving.

Same when i was in a buddies 2019 trd. Was way worse when he had the lift. Afterwords when it was removed, the vibration wasn't very bad. It was just there to be annoying once you knew it to be there. It wasn't related to tires either. Dealer basically told him its common to the model, and not to worry.

Thats bs. MY 2020 is smoother that any toyota trucks i've owned in the past. There was always some gremlin no matter how minor. This tacoma is a real joy to drive. I feel i finally got a good one.

It buzzes and vibrates, you just don't notice it. Some are more sensitive to it than others.

They are probably going to have to keep it for a while because unless you can pinpoint the sound to one location it could be plenty of things causing it

You might want to check tires or balancing. The vibration I had did seem to grow stronger around 50-55 mph. I am stock height.

Run your hands over the face of the tires feeling for any welts, bumps or imperfections. Move forward a bit and check the part that was on the ground during initial test. You are looking for possibly a belt or manufacturing issue.

Same here. Dealer was able to duplicate the vibration and documented it for me, which for most trucks happens between 30-10 MPH, often most noticeable while slowing down. There's a TSB for but it doesn't include 2022's and it's a hit or miss fix at best and often doesn't even fix it on the 2021 and older trucks. Most likely, it's driveshaft related. The 2022s should already have "the fix".

As for how common it is, I did a poll on this and almost 40% of people here said they have it. I'd be willing to bet many more do as well but don't notice because it can be very minor on some trucks and some people just aren't sensitive to this stuff. Some owners only notice if after you tell them to look for it, especially while slowing down 30-10 MPH.

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/poll-30-10-mph-vibration-automatic-trucks-stock-height.748639/

My dealer grabbed two other new 2022s when I had mine in and confirmed they both did it. We have a few Tacomas where I work and they also do it. Odd thing is, I had a 2018 SR and it didn't do it at all. These things are just finicky.

Not the same problem but somewhat related, my dealer did have to fix out of round rear drums when my truck was brand new. I also went through two sets of brand new Wildpeaks AT3s before they got me a set that could balance worth a crap. The truck is much better now.

Lot of potential "fixes" for the driveshaft issue, including shims, adding weight to the truck (mine rides way better when it's loaded down some", one-piece drive shafts, etc. Of course this all goes out the window if you lift it and you have to start from scratch. None of this should be our problem but if you have a 2022 that has this vibe, the dealer won't have a fix for you.

If it doesn't increase with speed, you can eliminate the tires as the potential cause, and it happens while coasting (no brakes) to a stop from 30 MPH, then my money is it's driveshaft related. Toyota has already admitted this is an issue with their previous TSB that still doesn't fix the issue and doesn't even apply to 2022s. Toyota included axle shims in the past but then I believe they stopped on the latest models.

I've been tempted to take mine to a driveshaft shop as well to have them measure all the angles. Before I do that, I will be measuring them myself with a digital angle gauge I bought and comparing the angles to a driveshaft manual on angles published by Spicer. Another issue I have though, is I'll probably be installing Bilstein 6112/5160s on this thing, with a small lift 1.5"/1" and that will throw it off again.....

Believe me i'd notice if anything like that. There's no nothing....ever. It even it drove my fishing buddy crazier than ever seeing how smooth the drivetrain performed in my truck vs his tacoma truck a year older. Now all i hear is how great his frontier is.
