So you're quacking about a .125" issue? Get a grip and realize that there are acceptable tolerances when building a vehicle. You are way too anal. WTF man. If I were a woman, I'd hate to be married to you!

Know its an older thread but feel this is a good place to add to.

Im going to check the bed height tommorow, but havent noticed any obvious difference. I have noticed a difference in the spacing between bed and cab. 2023 offroad. My passenger side bed is further back than my driver side. Couldnt fit both of my mud boots on the driver side between cab and bed. When I went to to add one to the other side I realized both fit and that there was at that point a pretty obvious difference. The mud flap or whatever is a better term (between cab and bed) didnt contact or come very close on the passenger side.

Not the biggest deal or hardest thing to fix, but disappointing. Now Ill make sure to check the height as well.

Mud boots? Is that an official unit of measurement now? lol you have to explain what you’re doing with mud boots.

If you are a real man that works in mud you would know that you can store mud boots in the slot between the cab and bed. Gives you a place to store muddy boots and not get your cab all gunked up. And when it rains it washes the mud off the boots.

Lexus-Level gap tolerances on my Texas 2014: doors, hood, tailgate and bed. Interior fit and finish are excellent as well, with the exception of the center console/shift area which creaks in cold weather until it warms up. Seat seams and the door cards, etc. in the interior all line up with each other and the trim pieces.

Okay should have explained and not just expected people to automatically know what Im talking about.

Mud boots are for mud obviously, and therefore are not kept in the truck. They can be turned upside down and then put the legging part of the boots in between the cab and bed. Its not a scientific measurement at all, but between that experience and my eye I can see an obvious difference on the two different sides. I obviously didnt notice it before this, so its not crazy bad, but still dissapointing. Ill measure it when I realign the bed.

Thanks for the explanation about the mud boots. Had no clue. We never took our muddy boots off whether in a hummer, Blackhawk, Shithook, or what have you. Hell, most of the time the ride never showed up so we just kept walking.

This. I always liked the auto wash feature. :)
I do site visits and inspections daily. I have several pairs stuck in there because I'm not supposed to contaminate the site with mud from another site.
My daughter says my truck looks like a farmer with my boots stuck in there.

As for the body measurements, I once saw 6 brand new fenders that were all for the same pickup stacked next to each other. The way Body parts are stamped grantees they will fit together, not that they will fit together well.

FWIW: I knew what you were talking about... ...and if I can be so bold and speak for everyone else (in Central and Northern New England anyway), who hunt and fish: So do they.

I stow mine like this if rain or wet conditions are expected, (otherwise they'll never dry out...) or I just throw them in the bed if it's a nice day.

Hi there, glad i stumbled upon this thread. I have the same issue on my 22 offroad aswell. Theres about a 1/2 - 1/4 inch difference in height. My OCD is killing me. Im thinking of just putting enough washers in between the bed and the frame just to fix the issue on the passenger side.

So I can understand the bed not being level with how it mates with the cab like mine (not happy about it). But what would make the bed sit lower on one side?

Is the bolt torquing on the bed and theres a gap of threaded bolt between bed and frame? Is the bed flexed? Or my god is the frame uneven!?

Same exact thing going on with my ‘23 OR. Looks identical to your guys photos. Maybe it’s actually a good thing, it’ll offset the inevitable “taco lean” that’s bound to happen down the road.

Has anyone come up with any answers or solutions? Or is shims under the bed the only answer for those of us bugged by it?
