While you like your sr5 grill, I saw a 2021 black limited tacoma with a silver grill that I wish my sr5 came with. I'm think of getting mine painted the same when summer comes.

Yeah I agree, but unfortunately they need leases, and permits to get it out. No new refineries have been built in decades either. Imo, the writing is on the wall.

 

Only because the politicians can get rich off forcing the conversion. I am sorry but the people who make policies shouldn’t be able to get rich by investing in the things that their policies force. It’s a conflict either way if you are for oil. They shouldn’t be able to invest that way either. You want to play in politics than you lose the ability to trade on stock market. People should not be able to become millionaires from a job that pays less than $180k.

Oil lobby is the most powerful on the globe. Demand for oil will only increase over time.

I think 1st world folks forget that the 2nd and 3rd worlds make up 95% of the planet. And none of those markets will shift away form fossil fuels any time soon.

Literally the only folks on this planet actively trying to ditch ICE cars are North Americans and half of the Europeans.

You are 100 percent correct. Put us 1st world people at a complete disadvantage going full “green” while the rest of the world is ramping up fossil fuels and pumping out co2 goes to show how insanely stupid this whole push for green energy is. It will have zero effect on the earths climate

 

For every dumb carbon tax nonsense we impose on ourselves, all we're doing is making ourselves poorer for no reason.
Meanwhile the rest of the planet is pumping out CO2 faster and faster. It's a losing race and all we're doing is handing away our hard-earned cash to dumb politicians who will not use that revenue source for green policies but rather it'll be embezzled, sent abroad, wasted on greases and bribes etc etc.

We, the 1st world tax payers, are willingly getting screwed over every single day and taxed to literal death and most seem super happy about it.

Heck, Indian fed government just demanded their domestic coal energy production be ramped up by a large % just this month.
Carbon taxes and forcing ppl to buy electrics is a total and complete waste of time. Follow the money and see who actually benefits.....

 

Amen! Spot on buddy. Really sad state of affairs. Not to mention I want no part in electric vehicles …talk about BORING! I want a vehicle I can pop the hood on and tinker with makes the car feel “alive” with an internal combustion engine

 

I can bring as much gas as I need/want in the 6ft bed of the truck..... I can't carry spare EV batts. That alone is a deal breaker.
Also, I'm too poor to afford the maintenance of an EV and its lack of long-term reliability. I keep my shitboxes for decades.

 

It's all going to come down what's cheaper. As battery technology gets better there will be more electrics. Imo, oil is only going to be more expensive if nothing is done here to drill for it. You have to get rid of these crackpot environmentalist's that our crackpot politicians are beholding to, if you want cheap oil.
