Need some help guys. I just installed a new aftermarket passenger side CV axle and seal on my 2nd gen Tacoma Offroad. I am getting a slight squeak/squeal above 30 MPH. I noticed the drivers side OEM CV axle looks less bound up and not so inflated. The new inner boot almost seems like it is full of air. Could the aftermarket axle seal be slid on too far? I can't move it obviously because it is clamped on, but it seems like I will wear this boot out fast the way the rubber is rubbing. I am wondering if this could be causing the squeak. I also did JBA upper control arms and stabilizer links while I was at it. It was aligned today, and yes I added some Lucas 75-90 diff fluid after pulling the axle out. Did I do something wrong? This is my first cv axle I have done on this truck, I am by no means an expert. Any insight is appreciated!

I know this will sound weird.
But did you by change bend the backing plate on the disc brake.
That backing plate has been the cause of a lot of squealing issues.
They are pretty easy to get bent out of shape.
Especially if you pulled on the rotor to dislodge the CV Axle.

Yes I did check that, because I've had that exact thing happen before. I bent it out more just for good measure, but nothing changed.
I noticed the OEM boot is much thicker and well made. This aftermarket boot is paper thin, and seems full of air. I am going to just chalk it up as a crappy aftermarket axle. Nothing else seems to be an issue... for now. I think it's just the rubber on rubber making the noise. The noise is dependent on speed, and that's about the only thing that spins in that area I am hearing the noise.

Slather a grease film on the boot if that's what you think. Aftermarket CVs are notorious for having issues.

Next time around I would recommend buying OEM CVs from eBay or a salvage yard. And typically I hate OEM stuff, but noticeable difference regarding CV quality
