You’re free to try to get the dealer to fix it, and they may do it out of goodwill. But this is not unique to Toyota and as others have said it is easier to address it yourself with a wax, claybar, and sealer.

I would not want the shop monkey touching the paint on my truck, as they are going to use the harshest chemical to strip off the spots known to man. It will take them 20 minutes and you will have damaged paint for the lifetime of the vehicle.

I disagree, let them do what ever to fuck they want, as long as it’s documented. Then later you can go back if it’s screwed up and remind them of said documentation.

My girlfriends car gets this all the time. It is rail rust and can be removed with compound. 3M makes a great compound. If you can get a good coat of wax on after doing that it would help you also.

I don't know anything about rail dust except what I have read here . Why does it keep coming back on your girlfriend's car ?

The OP has had the truck under 2 months, I absolutely would be at the dealership, wouldn’t think more than a second on it.

That’s cause we want Hawaiians to come visit, figure Hawaii is too nice of a place to stay here in Maine.

Sweriously though, didn’t know Losbters can’t be shipped to Hawaii, do you know why this is?

Cause my TW secret Santa two years ago (@mach1man001 ) tried and it was rejected. You can’t ship certain species here. Dogs and cats have to be quarantined when they move over here. Some beef and chicken powders can’t come here. Because of the delicate ecosystem here they are really strict on certain things.

And if you get caught with snakes horned frogs and other crazy reptiles you get a serious fine. Hawai’i is very small and has a super delicate ecosystem and China just does what ever they want. So dumbass importers in the 30’s accidentally introduced the giant African land snail and those things are every where at night. Every one I see I throw it into the street

Make sense, just never thought about it. What if the lobsters get killed before Hawaiian air space? Maybe get someone to toss them in the pot while flying in, you show us at the airport with a bowl of melted butter looking like

They have them in grocery stores now live ones... but the permitting process is crazy and expensive. When we tried it one permit for the shipment was 250 bucks and that was for just two lobsters. So we didn’t do it. So you have to send a good amount of lobster to make it worth and you need a commercial license for them.

Definitely free to do as he wishes, and I'm sure they will probably remove the spots too, albeit it is not a warranty issue and they will do a shitty job.

I really don’t understand why it keeps happening to be honest? I had a silver 2010 Tacoma and it happened to that quite often. Clay bars also work great like others have mentioned!
