As a firefighter for nearly 20 years and an arson investigator.....these comments are pretty priceless. Only mistake those guys made....or at least poor choice is not being on air while sucking in all the toxic smoke and gases. With all the plastic and petroleum fabricated products in these vehicles today and the carcinogens they put out, it's something you never want to inhale.....ever
Whoever the hell stated the firman that was using the "grinder" should have been using a face shield. It's a K 12 saw with metal cutting blade......and he had eye protection on......he was fine.
As far as the cause. Under the hood fires are more than likely non suspicious, mechanical or electrical in nature. Which one you may ask.......I probably couldn't tell ya, because I'm not an engineer in either of those fields. Through witness statements and the severity of the damage hopefully I can make a determination through my experience and education to come up with a proper origin and cause. There are a lot of ignition sources under that hood and making a determination on a cause without the proper evidence to back that up.......it's your ass in court.

One or the other. The fire isn't the only risk. Gasses from burning parts are toxic and create pressure that can lead to parts exploding in your face.

Gansbaai South Africa is nice this time of year. Be sure to wear a black wet suit though that looks like a seal. The water is a little chilly.

Lol....your welcome for my service. I'm not wrong. Your obviously not in my line of work. We don't wear masks ......much less hockey masks when we use our K12's lol, I'm not wasting any more of my time debating firefighting tactics.
