They look like they have a little more gloss in the finish. Have a close up?

I was going to mention that too but thought that maybe it was just the angle/light or the pictures. They do look less matte than the OEM ones in those photos though.

Wax & a direct sunlight photo. sometimes guys take pics of black wheels & the wheels are in a shaded area. I wanted the details to show in the picture. I always wax the wheels on all my cars. If you want a larger pic just go to my profile page & enlarge the picture that you want to see up close.

$688 shipped for four brand new OEM wheels of this quality? I'm pretty comfortable with my purchase thanks.

Those look great and I'm sure the finish will be fine even after a few years. Good find!

You're sure huh? Based on what? A feeling? What proven track record are you basing your hunch on?

That was my point. OEM Toyota quality and proven track record or some no-name Chinese manufactured knock-off for less than $20 savings per wheel. Yeah, sounds like a real safe gamble. /sarcasm

Call it what you want but what did he think was going to happen? This is a thread specifically for an absurd deal on quality OEM wheels. He decides to post off topic about some cheap ass knock-offs he got and then wonders why we don't pat him on the pack for saving like a ten spot per wheel on some wheels he knows NOTHING about. You want to impress me? Post up some actual experience with THESE wheels where years later they finish is still flawless. That's all I said and I wasn't even PMSing. I was genuinely hoping he would post up some pics in a few years and prove me wrong. Even then was it worth the ten bucks per wheel to risk it? From a guy who is all about saving money and not above buying knock-offs in some instances (like when they're 25% the cost) it really just doesn't make any sense. It's pretty obvious that he knows this but will never admit it. Then we get the peanut gallery chiming in completely unsolicited trying to make his feelers not hurt because the big bad man pointed out the obvious and he still doesn't get it. I was done with this topic already but people seem to want to keep rehashing it so here we are.

Maybe he should take his 'deal of the century' and start his own thread to see how many people think his deal is worth the risk. Good luck with all that. He won't do that because he obviously can't take honest criticism about his decision.

Now, had you come in here and said that you paid 1/2 what this deal is I wouldn't say a word. But ten bucks a wheel? It costs more to have a cell phone plan for two weeks these days so don't be surprised when someone with common sense points out the obvious that you appear to be missing.

And I was presenting reasons why the 'savings' weren't worth it. We done here?

    LOOKS GREAT!
I just ordered a set myself and even "if" the finish would wear off, I could have them powdercoated and still break even compared to the cost of OEM wheels.

You've got a place that will strip & powder coat wheels for ten bucks a wheel?

I dunno about you boys, but my wheels look like shit after just a couple of months on my rig. I take a few poser pics when they're new and then after that they get scratches and gouges from all the rocks and mud on the trail. Doesn't matter if they're oem or not. I suppose if I want to look pretty again I could just plasti dip them.

I decided I wanted these wheels and they would have cost me $1600 if I hadn't found this thread (in Canada, for 5 wheels). So I'm happy I saved HALF on the oem ones. I'm very thankful to hellsbay for posting up this thread. He saved me nearly $800 as I was about to pull the trigger on the ones that the dealership had...

I personally didn't consider the knock-offs because I've had a cheaper wheel break clean in half on me once on a mild dirt road when I hit a pothole. It was ridiculous. But for street purposes it won't make a difference.

    YMMV

Does anyone know if you have to use the extended lug nuts on these wheels?

I think you can use the regular length lug nuts. ChiefBrody said that He did & they worked out fine. Post #48 ,I think.

I would just like to thank the OP, Hellsbay for starting this thread. I would probably not have started to look for this type of wheel untill I saw how nice his truck looked with those wheels on it. Like the color of his truck too. Thanks again Hellsbay !
