We're in agreement. I was just talking about the finish because that will be the most likely to fail first. OEM parts (especially those with Toyota on them) have gobs of engineering to make sure they last and look great for years and years because they have to slap an OEM warranty on them and cover any defects. This is readily apparent in just about EVERY car part when you compare OEM to aftermarket but holds true especially for wheels. There is LOTS of liability on a manufacturer when it comes to a critical component like a wheel. Have one come apart at highway speed and lives could be on the line. It's this same reason I trust and sought out OEM wheels for this truck when I wanted something different. When you're talking about a Chinese knock-off their ONLY motivation is using the cheapest materials possible to maximize profit. They don't care if your wheel explodes in 5 months because it's not like they're going to send you another one. lol

The fact that you're hard on your wheels is all the more reason to get OEM as they will hold up much better. I haven't even discussed all the possible failure points of something like a wheel and only mentioned the finish because that's the most likely aspect that will fail first and likely looks noticeably different in person if you put the two side by side. I get the want to save money as I fancy myself a bargain shopper of epic proportions. At the same time I realize that some things just aren't worth it. Even if those wheels he's posting were HALF the price I would still get these because at $688 shipped you do NOT see OEM wheels at this price let alone wheels this nice. He posted what he felt was a good deal and I felt the need to bring some reality to that suggestion because the price just doesn't come anywhere near being worth the risk. He took offense to it and proceeded to try to justify why it was a good deal in an obvious effort to make himself feel better about a foolish decision.

The last thing I'll say on this topic is that I know in three years my wheels will be as good as they are right now and they didn't cost more than your Chinese knock-offs that may not survive the winter. If that's worth saving ten or twenty bucks per wheel to you then by all means, go for it. I just want others reading this to realize it's not an apples to apples comparison and the risk will most likely come back to bite you sometime sooner than later.

Thanks again for posting this deal OP. I was considering these wheels or the TX Pro wheels and all the prices I found were 2x this so it was a no brainer for me and I'm happy to save the money for something I likely would have bought anyway. Now I've got some extra money for guns & ammo. :D

Correct. I used whatever the OEM length is for the lugs.

Make SURE you get mag style lugs, not acorn style. Also, be aware that some people claim to notice a vibration if you only put one locking lug on each wheel (locking lug is different size/weight and will throw it off balance).

^ Nice looking truck. Have you considered tint matching those front windows with the rears?

Thank,.They are tinted. I did consider matching the rears but they're real touchy about any front window tint here on SoCal.

Do these wheels scratch as bad as the sport rims. I got my sport stuck in the mud this weekend and was surprised how bad the rims got scratched.

Looks great. Now I don't need to photoshop a set on my truck to know what they will look like...because it will look exactly like yours! Thank you, sir. And good looking truck!

What tpms sensors fit these wheels? I called my local dealer parts department and they told me to use the sensors from the fj cruiser. Will there be a problem programing these to my car or will it be ok?

    Thanks
