    OP…congrats and cheers!!

I lost a piece of a bearing pulling tool into the bottom of my front differential, and I imagine the feeling I had when I fished it out is the same one you had with the straw. Feels damn good.

I forgot to add, I love the detailed description of the straw, very memorable. I think you should hang it from your rear view mirror.

Even though its all said and done would the straw actually do any damage? Where can it go? Its way to large to get past the pan filter assembly? And with the normal operating temps in the pan it might not even melt...

Almost two years later and the Taco is running flawlessly. 179,000 miles. I drove it to Dallas Monday and loaded it with 8 walkways for frac IMG_1847.jpg trucks.
I have a new Canyon Denali. I experienced the dead battery issue in a remote campground in NM. We have a cabin 100 miles from home. My wife will drive the old Taco leaving the Denali in the garage because she doesn’t trust it. In three years the Denali will be gone but bets are the Taco will still be around.
So will the piece of the straw.

Nice Access Cab, mine just turned 160k. Interesting how the Tacoma is trusted more than the new GMC truck.
