Ok so I do have it, but it’s still under my truck and not in the bumper. It’s all zip tied with some other wiring. I’ll get up with mechanic to see if it can be removed, but it doesn’t look like it without cutting a bunch of crap

No worries man i honestly was going to cut it up and make a custom harness. Because im getting rid of the blindspot and back up sensors my aftermarket bumper does not have them so no need to use them. Ill just have to find a schematic and cut my harness apart haha

I know I know lol..... I’ve actually done quite a bit and haven’t got around to updating anything yet except insta. I only had 4 days off this summer from work since I’m putting my wife through nursing school... I’ll try to get to it soon!

    Hey Bobby,

Would you have the model of leaf packs you bought? I assume you did to give a bit better weight control with gear on the bed, correct? How much lift did you get? Also, how's the ride when empty? I'm looking to doing the same to my 2018 Pro (don't want to lift, just want it to be able to take on the gear weight without bottoming out).

    Any other recommendation?

    Thanks!

    Miguel

    Hey Miguel,

I don’t have a model number persay bc they are a custom leaf pack from Deaver Suspension due to me carrying more weight than normal. But to answer you’re question at the pics you see above I have a leaf pack rated for 1 1/2’s of lift with 800lbs above factory weight.

The truck still rides great when not under weight, some say it will ride stiffer, but I don’t really notice a difference between the two.

Hope this answered your questions, if not ask more.

Btw I did lift mine, but I haven’t updated my thread. Currently I’m at 3”s of lift and I upgraded the leafs again bc I added more weight, I’m at 1100lbs above factory now. I added an updated pic below, I’m now running Baja kits Long travel set up on Kings, with archive garage rear hangers and locked bumps.

@Bray1197 how do you like the Leer 100XL?

I was sold on the XQ - but seeing your XL has me loving it. Thanks in advance and great build.

What made you change your mind and lift it? My Taco is my DD, so i want to make sure i keep as comfy ride as possible with some decent off-road capability with gear.

I like it and it serves its purpose. Although had it been available I would have opted for the alucab Shell.

I do wish I had windows I could open in the side too so I can access the back of my bed....

My truck is my DD a well, up to 40k Miles now. The truck performs great as is, I ran 40-45mph off-road on some of the trails at the FJ summit. I just wanted more. My truck rides soooo much better now and bumps, even speed bumps, I hardly feel. With going long travel it extended my track and made the truck handle even better! I had been looking at several long travel set ups and last Black Friday I got a deal I couldn’t refuse.

If you’re looking for decent off-road capabilities you’re alreasy there and some. Me and my wife are going Cross country in August where I plan on going through AK (Dalton Highway) and around 200-300 miles of the Baja 1000 trail. So I plan on really pushing the envelope and maybe even jumping my truck. I don’t want to have a crazy off-road suspension just one that has the capability of almost anything if I need it.

When did you decide to go long travel? I missed that episode.
