A lot of stuff, just ask and I'd be happy to tell you. Or we could wheeling/camping
I personally luv the set up! I like the factory look, but if you look close you know it's far from. I have no lift in the front (rear leaf lift) except from bigger wheels and tires. Eventually I am going to do a front bumper, but not until I do Long Travel suspension. That being said I'm not changing the suspension until 100k miles.

Which ones did you go with?

Basically I'm putting together a shopping list, based on most efficient order of installation based almost entirely of your build. Maybe by the time you head up to Alaska there will be a less impressive version of your truck here.

Bahahah... I luv all trucks! They all have their own unique quirks!

I think you're referring the the leaf springs. I had Deaver Suspension build he a custom set. One bc I like to carry all my weight in the rear, few hundred pds more than most. 2 bc most leaf packs give 2-3 inches of lift. Since we only have a 1" lift they build it for that. Plus they designed the springs to perform as the truck is designed to under weight.

They were only around $800 and def a good choice!

    At the Helm Fabrications

He's new and up coming and I like to help small business when I can. Plus his prices are reasonable compared to other bed stiffeners on the market.

He's on Tacoma world just gotta search

Beautiful Tacoma! I've seen many pictures of it floating around Instagram. Out of curiousity, what "mistakes" did you make in building your first Tacoma? It's always interesting hearing about where people think they went wrong and were right because there's so many different styles and ways to do things.

    Also, sub'd.

Well prob the biggest was not beefing up the leaf springs. I put an icon lift on my 07 and loaded it down when a cap, rtt, drawers, and gear. It caused the truck to squat and eventually wore out the yokes in my drive shaft. Had to buy two drive shafts

Another was having a light bar on my roof. It caused so much glare on my hood it was counter productive. Prob could be solved by adding a matte vinyl wrap or going with a baja designs light bar, but one only needs so much light lol.

Thank god for the graphics around the hood scoop on the Pro. At first I thought about removing them. Once I sat in the truck and saw the way the hood curves back towards the cab I thought, it's like they designed it to reflect the sun into my eyes.

I dunno if it's a problem though, sports don't have the graphics.

I used to have a sport and sometimes it would after I detailed the truck, but it had to be the right angles. For the most part the sun wasn't an issue, but like you said it is nice have the vinyl graphics on the hood for sure!!

Is your Leer 100XL reinforced in anyway to have your RTT on there?

Nope! It's my second build using a Leer 100xl, haven't had any issues with either.

Well that makes me comfortable to use my leer 180 that has been sprayed with Line-X. I have been up there myself and it felt really solid.

Forgot I line x'd mine too! Didn't do it on purpose it just worked out that way. I would think it helps a small amount. Plus it's black like the bed.

Did you lineX the whole interior of it?

I assume you didn't do the bed.

It's hard to justify it sometimes.... sometimes... lol

I have a lot of weak moments lol

Correct! I did not do the bed. My Leer Cap came un-carpeted, which was not how I ordered it, so I could either send it back or line-x it. Figured the line x will add some stablilty and it would be black on black. Just tapped off the windows and let my dealership professionally line it.
