Perhaps I do not understand the point of this thread... did I miss rules on what TO post and what NOT to? Care to enlighten me?

And FYI, those were not just Marines storming the beach.

Technically, your post Beach Storming was accurate... a "last words" kind of saying. The bulldog post wasn't a situation where the dog said he'd be back then died.

I just think that there's a difference in the dark humor of somebody dying or going missing accidentally and somebody putting his/her life on the line and going off to war.

I wasn't trying to be an ass or anything. I just don't see the humor (dark or otherwise) in posting pictures of service men and women who lose their lives fighting for our country.

Thank you for your service, btw.

Cool... glad we are square. I didn't quite get what you meant and I should have made an inference on the dark humor... Just thought we were all posting pics and being funny.

You are right - there is nothing 'funny' per-say about men storming the beach... I just love that picture...

And again, I didn't realise the intent of the thread all around... anyway - back to posting!! :)

"Going to a party" - She was killed by Vandersloot

"going skiing" - died in a ski accident

"browse craig's list" - That's the craig's list killer. I should hvae posted a picture of his victim instead

"dry erase board" - I have no idea. I know he died, but what did it have to do w/ a dry-erase board?

"gonna go 4 wheelin'" - He died from complications due to a 4-wheelin' accident on his farm

"going to iraq" - he died in the war (one of the poorer taste ones I talked about earlier)

"conseguido para encontrar ese ferracarril" - no idea... don't speak spanish and don't recognize that guy

"take the plane out for a spin" - he died in a plane crash

"i need a coat" - Payne Stewart died in a plane crash resulting from a loss in cabin pressure, which also made it COLD in the plane

"gotta straighten this picture" - sorry, no idea

"I'm going skiing" - Natasha Richarson, died after hitting her head on a ski trip

"gotta find the kitchen" - Langley Collyer and his brother suffered from severe OCD and were found dead in his home surrounded by 100 tons of garbage they had accumulated

"parachute off Eiffel Tower" - I assume he died doing exactly that

"cops and robbers" - Bonnie & Clyde: killed by cops in an ambush

"new ax" - wish I knew... did she die? or was she a killer?

"start dieting" - gotta assume she died of bulimia

"not very hungry" - surely she starved? again I don't know

As it turns out, I didn't do very well. I thought I knew most, but I guess not? I agree bout Phil Hartman, too. (But he was killed in his sleep, not at dinner... see my original post of that picture)

EDIT: Found some of the with Wikipedia and updated above.
