Apologize in advanced if there is already a thread about this, I tried looking could only find a 2015 thread.

Just got my 17 v6 taco three days ago. Was wondering the length of the break in period?

    500 miles?
    1000 miles?
    1500 miles?

    your time is greatly appreciated.

You didn't say "in my opinion" so I'll take that as a false assertion :D

You can use Cruise Control during the first 1000 Miles, you just should not go long distances with it as you want to vary RPMs.

I didn't read it as an opinion. I read it as a statement.

Do you need to know, or care?
Follow the manual, that's why Toyota prints it.
