Break in trip

I completed the trip tonight. The last few hours was starting to get less than comfortable after the crappy roads in NY. I was in the passenger seat with it reclined for part of that, so it was banging my back. 40+ hours in the seat of anything in a 4 day period isn’t generally good for my back, but the Tacoma was generally not bad. I order a set of the Seat Jackers just now, the drivers side could have better thigh support for me, and the passenger side (not powered) is way too flat. I’ll have numbers for the final tank of fuel tomorrow.

Need more road trip photos!

Do you a sunroof? Asking for tall buddy from work who is shopping for a Tacoma. Wondering if sunroof will get him some more headroom.

 

I tried to sit in a sunroof truck, dealbreaker for me as my hair was in the ceiling. The sunroof cuts 2-3” of headroom. TRD Pro, Limited, and Offroad/Sport with leather are out for him.

Here are some pictures from lunch Thursday. We stopped at Road Hawg BBQ in Dillsburg, PA for their famous Bully sandwiches. The last time I was in the Harrisburg area their location in Duncannon wasn’t serving because of Covid.

 

That was my suspicion since I have an Offroad with no sunroof and he barely clears. We were thinking if a sunroof might help.

Gotta love those long trips in new a tacoma. I just picked up my second 3rd gen in Denver a few days ago and drove right back to CA. Talk about proper break in..
