So I was thinking of placing my order for a 2017 TRD DCOR around mid to end november once the dealers here start getting more info and probably have one on the lot so I can test drive it etc. Anyways tht would likely put my delivery date more around January/February.

So anyone think it would be a problem breaking in a new vehicle in the winter? I'm in southern ontario, snow isn't actually all that bad up here its the cold. Last 3 years majority of February are all extreme cold warnings last year only two days werent. When its extreme cold its usually anywhere from -30 to -40 celcius. This has been cold enough that without a block heater my 2006 Jetta TDI won't start.

I'll be getting a block heater with the OR just not sure if I should wait a little longer and get it for more around spring or not. My only concern would be the cold effecting parts during the break in period.

All cold does is slow the rate the vehicle comes up to temp.

Run the correct wt. oil, use your block heater, enjoy the truck.
