I'm not sure if ya'll remember back in August of 2008 my father died. He had a 5 Bypass in September of 2007 and lived almost another year. When he had the surgery my mother noticed lumps in her right breast. Well, because she had to take care of my dad, she did nothing about it. We finally talked her into getting a mamogram a couple of weeks ago. She now has a large tumor in her right breast and it has spread to at least her right underarm. She will start Chemo-Therapy next week and hopefully shrink the cancer down so she can have surgery in 4 months.
This was her first mamogram ever. Her brother and her aunt died from breast cancer. My moms cancer doctor said it might be genetic. I never really got involed in the "Cure Breast Cancer" campaign but I am getting involed now. I'm not writing this for sympathy, I'm just saying that the Shit Fairy has done enough to my family. It's time for her to move on.

Sorry to hear that your Mom has to through that crap, my sister went through it a little over a year ago and thankfully her last checkup showed good results.

    Prayers for Mom and family

MM-so sorry to hear about this. My thoughts and prayers are with your mother and family. Let this serve as a good reminder to all the women of TacomaWorld to get a mammogram every year. You guys can help by encouraging your gf, wife, sister, and other female relatives and friends to do the same.

none except for crappy hub caps and floor mats.
I feel your pain. My Father in law died last year of Multiple Myloma. My Dad had heart bypass surgery this year. The good news is that breast cancer is much more treatable than other cancers, so she has a much better chance than others. So hope for the best. Good luck to you and your family.

MM, tell that cancer to kiss your ass and say hi to the devil for us, cause it's outta here baby!

Here's hoping the chemo kicks the cancer in the nuts so the doc can open a big ol' tub of whup-ass on it.

Thank you everybody for the kind words. I found out about an hour ago that the results from the PET-Scan are in. She has cancer in her right breast, in her lymphnodes, lungs and bones. They did not discuss a prognosis.
At this point, I don't know what to do. It doesn't look very good. I told my mom that we will be with her every step of the way.
