I did a shitty job 5 yrs old when I made it so it does look great. But I think I only had to lower it. I think it needed to be 1-1/16" lower. I don't think it had to move forward or back at all.

Oh really? Interesting, i guess the v6 trans is a good bit different then. so literally just moved it down. Did you just mock it up under the truck to see how everything lined up then make the cut?

Nope. I measured a 4x4 ACLB truck at work when no one was looking. Determined it was 1-1/16"... cut, weld, done. It fit close enough to work. I'd encourage you to double check that measurement though. It's been a long time and I didn't write it down, so it's purely from memory.

I just ran outside and measured my truck. Turns out I suck at laying it out. It ended up at about 1-1/8” down. Not forward/backward adjustment needed. Don’t make fun of my crossmember. I know it’s not great.

Damn it. I hate how some photos from the iPhone are upside down.

I think on the v6 it does. Could be different for the manual as well.

Sweet. I plan to do something similar when I redo mine for a manual swap.

Nice, that will be fun swap. I thought about it but just decided to keep auto. i also thought about trying to be the first with the 5speed auto trans in the 3rd gen but it would be a headache to try to make it work.

Im planning on getting started in a couple of weeks with the conversion. Just waiting on a couple of more parts.

That would have been really interesting. Do you happen to know the model number of that trans?

I haven't measured the v6 trans (A750). I would imagine it's longer since it has an additional gear set.

That would make sense. There’s a couple of v6 4x4 outside the gym I workout at so I’m going to take a peek in just a sec
