Well @jowybyo trucks officially as slow as a turd now but more capable than ever. You started your manual swap yet?

I'm sure it was as slow as a turd before your conversion. What are your thoughts on the whole process? Is it was horrible and worthless as 90% of TW claims?

I did start a little on the manual swap. I have three pedals now:

Let me rephrase that. Slower than a turd. Yup destroyed my trucks resale value, isnt as good as factory 4x4, too much work blah blah blah. I will say it was good bit of work but i enjoy working on my own stuff. I know every in and out of my truck now. I know exactly what broke if i have a problem and i know how to fix it. Also did the manual tcase upgrade so its a win win. People are just lazy man and dont want to spend the time. I spent basically the same amount of money i would have spent from the factory so no loss there.

Nice on the pedals. How do you install that? That seems like it would be kinda a pain?

All good things. At this point, I've pretty much had the whole truck apart in my driveway. It's amazing how simple it is.

Agree. Time is money. But in my opinion, the improvements over the stock setup make it worth it. I don't care much about resale value since the only way I'm getting rid of my truck is if someone crashes into me. Also, getting a 4x4 2.7L DCSB wasn't an option from the factory. I would have had to get the V6 which was another $6k, plus about another $3k for 4x4, plus more in taxes. It was a no brainer for me.

No harder than anything in the 4x4 conversion. But yea, the space is tight and hard to get into there to drill the holes and line up the pedals.

Yea its like putting lego pieces back together. Just takes time and Money. I agree ill never get rid of my truck unless it is totaled beyond repair. People who worry about resale value its like saying "i better not damage it for the next person who owns it". Like what?

I paid 21k for mine i have about 12k in upgrades and still come in well below the price i would have paid for a stock v6 4x4

Looks like a waste of money that killed your resale value.

Beats me. How long before you do the manual swap? I don’t want to be the only dumb ass with a 2.7L DCSB 4WD Conversion Manual Swap rare gem of a truck.

Don't give him no bright ideas. He needs to revel in the victory of this latest mod! I know I woulda been pissed to put in all that work, and then break both CV shafts because of a missing little piece!
