No. I meant engaged. With an open diff you only get torque to one wheel, which ever wheel has the least traction.

The other wheel obviously turns if it’s on the ground and you are moving. But if you are stuck with one wheel is on the ground and the other is in the air, the on in the air is the one that will be mostly likely to spin. You can “trick” it a bit by holding the brake.

Ok thats what i was getting at if on flat ground and i engage 4wd with ADD all 4 will spin at 25% split between wheels lol. I was saying if ADD is off on flat ground and you engage Tcase then only front left wheel will spin. I set my drive train up on the floor and saw this happen when i turned by hand. also feels like it when i did it one time. When you engage the ADD the right wheel will spin too.

I’m understanding a bit better. So what happens if the front locker is on but ADD is off? Will the same thing happen?

You get 3-wheel drive, where the driver side front wheel is the only one that gets power.

What makes you so sure? I can't tell what wheels are getting torque when I'm just driving along on flat ground. It's not until I'm stuck or in mud that I notice which ones are doing work.

Idk man. I know for sure if I don't engage the ADD, I'm only doing donuts with the rear wheels (only one rear wheel until I hit the locker).

Try it again sometime and report back to us. If you are getting power to the front wheels with the ADD disengaged that would be really interesting.

If you're really feeling crazy, disconnect the rear driveshaft at the t-case. Then see if you can move at all without engaging the ADD.

Im thinking of buying a new rack altogether. People say the energy bushings suck if you actually wheel your truck. Buddy says hes replaced his like 3 times in the span of a year because they cant take the abuse. There's no where to get just OEM bushings.
