Want to make sure I’m doing this right. I’m putting wheel bearing grease inside my 4x4 hub, this is right, right?

No wheel bearing grease is already inside the bearing. So no need to grease again

I did put a little on the spline of my cv and around the face to help smooth everything in and out.

Just make sure you have the seal on the back of the spindle and the CV or water will get in there and wear the bearing out very fast.

How did the hub spin when you had cv in with wheel off? Shouldn’t feel any resistance other than weight

Also cv should just slide in. It shouldn’t be hard to get it in and out.

It zips around pretty good lol it’s 25hp 4 stroke. It’s good for about 30mph in that not. Don’t wanna go much faster in it lol

Lol, I probably do the same haha. That boat was my first ever project. Bought the hull with no motor and rotted out for $600 bucks. Put about $3500 in materials for restoration and $3000 in the motor. She runs like brand new now!

I bought this from a student that was graduating and couldn't take it with him. I put a new floor, carpet, seats, and gas tank. I actually made money when I sold it :rofl:I had about 3K in it and sold it for 4K. 1978 Chaparral 187
