Just waiting to see what is going to need to happen for the one shock and then the truck will be completely together... Unless I tear it apart again...

Swing by Walmart or an auto parts store and slather some rubber cement on there to keep the cords clean and dry

Naw, just a couple extra coats of poly. That will protect just fine. All I ever did on my wood bed in my old Chevy...

well the beauty of the drawer a made is the panels are easy to replace if they get busted and pretty cheap to replace.

Was your carrier bearing in the correct place for your two piece driveshaft? I feel like i remember it being different on the prerunners. Im trying to figure out the driveshaft situation for my swap right now. Any info would be appreciated sir:hattip:

On my auto the driveshaft didn’t line up. It’s off by 3 inches and I was using a driveshaft that came off a 5 speed. I initially used some angle iron to make up the difference but then just had my prerunner shaft cut to length cause I didn’t like it like that.

try to get a front shaft from a 5 speed as well cause they are different length than the auto.

The front shaft will bolt right up if you get the one that’s meant for your truck. The rear shaft on the 4xt has a different mount hole on the frame from our prerunner that’s 3 inches back. Easiest thing to do is just have your shaft cut and balanced the appropriate length.

Thanks for the tips, i had a feeling that might be the case.. i have a rear driveshaft out of my 6spd manual 4wd that i was hoping might work. From what ive been able to find online its 5/8” longer than one for a stock 4wd 5spd manual truck. What do you think? I am gonna measure once i have it all here but my fingers are crossed that it might work since my truck is lifted
