I have been a Toyota fan since my first corolla years ago. I have had 5 Toyota and purchased a Lexus ES 350 for my wife two years ago and it is sweet. I purchased an 03 Tacoma double cab 4x4 with the IX/TRD package brand new. As a matter of fact, it was not built yet when I made the down. We paid cash for the truck because I planned on keeping it, of course. My truck looks like it rolled off the showroom floor. I take excellent care of it. Modifications are a larger catbak (?) exhaust system, full K&N intake, slightly taller and thinner tires. All of that was for mileage. I have an aftermarket hitch with a 4 and 7 pin connector for our new pop-up camper. I put a bed liner in it about 6 months after purchase and have a color coated shell. The truck is excellent, I would just like better mileage, but the 4x4 doesn't give too much in the way of options there. I have the front two windows tinted to a 50% and a large sun tint in front. Next will be some side steps. My son and I call it "the guys" truck and he may own it someday as he is turning 9 next month and the vehicle is maintained perfectly. All fluids have been replaced and yesterday I had a complete cleaning of the fuel system for ACME Auto with BG products and the truck is crazy, it runs incredible, highly recommended product. Timing belt will be the next maintenance. I discovered this site looking for instructions to take the door panels off for new speakers. I have an amp and 2 10' speakers that I can take out of the bed, but there is the vibration from the bed liner, etc., and it is driving me nuts. I have 4 Sony Xplod speakers I want to put in, the rear two will be pushed by an amp. It is cool to have a site where we can share info. This is my life story...it seems. Take care.
