I can tell you with confidence, No. At 5psi it's alright, but even then it has no added fuel in closed loop.

So in other news, my LTFT at 1200-1800 are 2+ through -2 at 2000 on up they are 0. I kept track throughout yesterday's drive. The only place they are real bad is below 1200 where they are like +17. Still haven't gotten the STFT working on the scan gauge.

thanks, the reason i ask is because i'm trying to figure out how much boost can the stock ecu handle. i read on another forum that a guy built a rear turbo setup, custom paddle shifters and all this on a stock ecu. yes custom paddle shifters.

Yeah I read that forum. However it is not wise nor safe for long term use to run anything over 5 psi on the stock ecu. Really for better engine health you need a fuel pump and atleast supra injectors (318cc). I don't remember his fuel situation but I don't think it was stock. Also you'll need to reference your fuel pressure regulator to a boost source. At that you'd be running a good supercharged setup.

And the ecu can handle as much boost as the engine can handle, provided you fuel it right.

    EDIT: Without proper fueling.

Well since you haven't started yet I may as well compile all the information there is to having a turbo 5VZFE into that thread I talked about earlier. You're a V6?

Well once my build is tuned it will pretty much be finished as far as the turbo is concerned. After that I'll have to edit and post all of my vids on the install and then...yeah that's it :D
After that I plan for caltracs, a locker and slicks - (not related to the turbo, just caused by it :D)
Basically at this point I have enough info on the install and references for tuning that I feel I could put it all together. Assuming none of the other turbo dudes mind me referencing people to their builds :D

But yeah dont worry lol this build will definitely continue.

Sounds like you're close on the STFT. The LTFT should give you a pretty good idea after even 10-20 mins of driving. Even +18 is not horrible if it will stabilize at that- but ideally closer to +-10. Once you get this dialed in, it's really hands off. I could remove my boost gauge and AFR gauge at this point if I wanted. It just never fails, rock solid.

Sounds promising! Yah know...once I'm there :D AFR fluctuates quite a bit here and there, but from what I can understand I use the o2 map to correct that. I'm waiting on some resistors for the cam sensor and such, and I made a new timing map that doesn't start pulling boost till like 8 psi just to see what happens. Tomorrow I should be able to tune some more. :D

Shoot, you're not far from me at all.

Yup. Driving with the cammed 4.3 daily. Just received a few parts necesary to run the Haltech wires through the cab, with good sealing. So still on the oem ecu. :pout:
