Tried starting and tuning the truck today after wiring in a 2.2k ohm resistor, however this crazy Texas weather killed the battery I think. Its totally dead, so i put it on the charger, Guess we'll see tomorrow. :(
It got into the 20's last night so idk if its coming back, the battery that is.

EDIT: The Positive terminal is crazy corroded/was. I fixed it. It starts no problem :D

I'm happy it was that and not electrical problems...well not THOSE kind of eletrical problems.

Lol that's my plan for today.

Runs way to rich in low boost

Runs lean after letting off the gas (more fuel in vacuum?)(need to change o2 values?)

So yeah gotta fix those problems :D and it should be A-ok.

Other than those minor things, it hauls butt :D and does great burnouts.

But first lunch and some videos games.:sandwich:

I might know why. This is one reason why I want to check out your truck.

Well name a day and time and lets see what we can work out!

    I tuned it some more.

Still goes lean after letting off the gas.

No longer rich in low boost, and AFR's are good up till open loop kicks in and dumps in waaaaaaaaaaaay to much fuel
    1-4 psi are 13.5-13.0
    5-6.5 psi are 13.0-12.5
6.5-10 psi? haven't turned it up yet...:D but I'll go do that real quick since 6.5 is pretty good lol

In boosted aplications im not sure but when i let off the gas in my N/A truck my afr drops into the 17's... pretty sure that might be normal?

5vz's will fuel cut till 1200rpm above 2000~rpm. Mine is just being lean i think, although I am dropping to around 17afr so maybe? Never done that before but maybe it does now? Lol. What are your afr's when you pump the brakes?

It's always going to show lean the instant after you close the throttle since it's cutting fuel completely. Open loop is tuned with only the fuel table so just keep dropping the fuel till you find a number you like. There is also an open loop condition which is something like over 60% throttle for 6 seconds. You're pretty much always going to be rich under this condition so I wouldn't even try to get the afrs over 12 otherwise you're cutting fuel from the transient phase where you go from low to high boost which is a big no-no.

Low to high boost is smooth with nice AFR's so that's good. I need to log something since I've pretty much passed my drive and guess method lol. Baby steps :D

Well im a manual trans so when I let off the gas completely it fuel cuts no brakes needed. I'm not sure how autos do it?

While yes leaning out after letting off the gas is normal when fuel cutting, mine does it when not meeting the fuel cut requirements.

Mine does too. Pretty normal. As long as its not going way rich and stauling, I wouldn't worry about it.

Also fwiw. 20° shouldnt kill your battery after a day. -20 sure. 20° is nothing though. You may have a drain miss wired or bad battery. Worth looking at.

I had an issue where I tapped into the wrong 12v lead and when I shut the truck off, some of the sensors didn't shut down and I would get a dead battery in the morning. Had to find a different 12v lead.

Yeah I thought I did the same thing, but I've turned the truck off and waited overnight multiple times now, so I think I got the right one...or hopefully I did lol

And My battery was already having some issue starting the truck at other times, which is why I thought it died. But it ended up just being a really really really corroded positive terminal.
(I posted that above but I guess No one saw it?)
