Oops on previous posts I meant closed pressure

And you have the high rpm/boost dual springs right? I think those are the ones I'm gonna get

And yeah idk what daily I wanna get yet, but every time I get interested in one I end looking at how mod-able it is lol

i have the standard dual springs for low boost/n/a Reason being i feel that high boost springs may be a little too strong for the camry cams (the hd springs are for good for up to 10,000 rpm if i remember right, n/a / low boost is for 8000rpm

For a daily, get something comfortable with next to no aftermarket.. I did, and I still found some aftermarket for it. damn

Where there's a will there's and aftermarket modification haha

I was looking at 2008+ Silverados. It's a truck, it's comfortable, but unfortunately it's crazy modifiable, having an LS and all.
I liked the SS Impalas with the LS but that's just begging for mods lol...I should avoid LS motors...

Honestly, i figured the standard pro springs would fit my needs well for now, later down the road if i bump up the power, i don't have an issue with redoing the springs

Yeah, I guess but they're the same price so I figured I may as well get the stronger ones

part of it is it limits how much boost I'll run.. once the trucks done I don't want to go overboard, I plan on buying a house within the next few years, cant dump too much money into the truck.
The pro springs should be more than enough for what i want out of this ol truck for now. Once it goes turbo it'll be plenty quick.. Now that i have friends who work for precision turbo.. discounts are nice. lol

So the timing tabs on the camry cams aren't an issue?

Timing tabs? the little nubs to line up the cam gear? i havent put them on in a complete engine but just visually looking at the cams it should all line up

I thought there was a timing tab for the distributer.

There was a comment on a forum that said the tab would have to be machined off...?

I've yet to see these cams used in a5vz despite all the task about it.

I do know the camry crank is forged and much stronger than the 5VZ cast crank. It's also a straight drop in.

Oh the dizzy notch is no issue. The 5vz has a plug where the dizzy would of gone but still has the machining for it. The cams in the picture are the ones with the dizzy cut out.

As for crank I have that too. It fits no problems, even has the same stamping s for determining the main bears you need for your block/crank

I called a dealership today to see if they have the kickdown cable, and they had to order it, so I should be able to fix that tomorrow. I really wish I could have bought it from somewhere else though, they charged $150 for a cable... Oh well I guess, I couldn't find it anywhere else.
